Eintracht Frankfurt defeated TSG Hoffenheim 2-1 in their Bundesliga match on Sunday, with goals from Mario Kramarić and Philipp Baumgartner leading the visitors to victory.
Kramarić scored the first goal for Eintracht Frankfurt in the 5th minute when he latched onto a through ball from Julian Brandt and slotted it past goalkeeper Christian Neuhaus.
Baumgartner added another goal in the 67th minute after being played through by Thomas Müller. The Austrian forward took advantage of a loose pass from Hoffenheim's defense and curled a shot into the top corner of the net.
Hoffenheim had the better chances early on, with Christian Pulisic and Manuel Neuer both having good opportunities to score. However, they were unable to capitalize on them, and Eintracht Frankfurt held on to secure their third win in four matches.
The result was a significant boost for Eintracht Frankfurt, who have now won two out of their last three games and are sitting second in the table behind Bayern Munich. They will look to continue their strong form as they head into next weekend's match against Borussia Dortmund.
On the other hand, Hoffenheim fell to their fifth defeat in six matches and remain bottom of the league table. They will need to improve if they want to avoid relegation, but there is still time for hope.
